Jan 31, 2008 in Wine
Wine tasting parties are so popular for no real reason other than it’s such a lot of fun. When throwing a really great party it’s of course a good idea to invite people who either know each other already or have a lot in common. This way they’ll be able to chat away freely and not feel self-conscious. Oh, and don’t invite the kids, unless they can amuse themselves and not get in the way of adult conversation.
Why is the Wine Tasting Party Invitation Important?
A lot of people simply love parties and have friends and family around them whilst having fun. In order to promote the spirit it would be wonderful if you can throw a party at your place and have the people you want to socialize with over. This is why a wine tasting party is so perfect.
The most important thing to think about first of all is the invitations. You’ll want to make it clear what type of party it is, whether it’s formal or informal etc. The invitations will also set the mood for when your guests arrive.
Some do’s and don’ts about sending out a wine tasting party invitation:
- Avoid sending invites through the post as they might get lost. If you can, deliver them invite by hand.
- If it’s going to be a formal occasion you should add the titles of the guest names. Whereas if it’s going to informal just write Jim and Hannah etc.
- Make sure you give your friends plenty of time to plan the party in their diary. Don’t just spring it on them 24 hours prior to the event. Ideally anywhere between 2 and 3 weeks is enough.
- Give that personal touch by writing the address in hand; otherwise it’ll look like a company has sent it.
- If printing the invitations yourself, always select quality paper.
- Mention the dress code and theme (if any) for the party.
- If you want your friends to bring a bottle of wine, make sure that this is made clear on the invitation. You may want to specify the type and price range. Ideally they shouldn’t have to spend more that $15.
Just follow the rules above and everything should go smoothly when it comes to inviting your guests. Now all you have to do is wait for them to turn up and have a good time.
